This hair growth serum from Amplixin, was recommended to us for review by one of their customers and so we decided to order some bottles from amazon and test the product to create a review. Amplixin also has a line of shampoos, conditioners, hair gels and supplements for hair growth.
Amplixin claims their hair growth serum is natural, biotin infused, and adds volume and body to damaged follicles. They also claim to moisturize the scalp and stimulate the hair roots to promote healthy hair growth. We decided to analyze the ingredients in the serum to see if they supported these claims, and to see if the serum had any other positive qualities. When performing an ingredient analysis, the first thing Dr. Luna noticed was the presence of natural ingredients in the formula. One of the key natural ingredients in this serum is Aloe Vera. Many of you are probably familiar with this ingredient. While Aloe vera does not address any of the three major hair loss pathways, it has been shown to relieve irritation in the scalp, heal damage and clean the pores in the scalp which could lead to healthier and stronger hair. This formula also contains good vitamins such as Biotin(Vitamin B7) which has been shown to strengthen hair. Hair growth stimulators such as caffeine are present and also anti-inflammatory agents such as sage leaf. Dr. Luna notes that there aren’t really many ingredients in this serum that can cause irritation especially because of the natural ingredients. The product is also free of sulphates and parabens. The one major flaw in this formula is the lack of any powerful DHT inhibitors.
Daily User Experience
The product comes in a small spray bottle which is fairly well designed, although the packaging could be improved. The product has a watery texture which is fairly easy to apply because of the spray mechanism in the bottle. The scent of the product is very fruit like, but also very minimal. The spray system is pretty easy to apply and is designed to prevent a mess. None of the HGR team members who tried this product reported any scalp irritation or side effects.
HGR team members who used this product did did get some noticeable results after 3 months of usage. Members who hadn’t experienced much hair loss, noticed a reduction in shedding and thinning, but minimal regrowth. Those in the later stages of hair loss experienced minimal to no improvement. However, most members did comment that, their hair felt better and stronger after using this serum
At about $30 it is fairly priced when compared to other topicals currently on the market. There are about 2 ounces in each bottle, which is about industry standard. However when used properly and frequently, it doesn’t last as long as other products. Still, this product provides decent results at a decent price, so you’ll be getting fair value for your money.
This serum is probably worth a try if you are not experiencing strong or heavy hair loss, or you are looking to keep the hair you have left. This serum produces better results in a complete regimen.
